Trap beats
Trap beats run fast on paper and slow in the mouth. The hats sit on sixteenth notes, the kick pattern is sparse, and the convention is to rap half-time - so a 140 BPM trap beat is really a 70 BPM writing tempo with a lot of movement underneath.
That is what makes trap forgiving for freestyle practice: you get plenty of room between downbeats, and the hats do the work of keeping you in the count. Every beat below is tagged with its real tempo, so you can halve it yourself and know exactly what you are writing to.
