About
About Rhymeable
Rhymeable is a freestyle rap practice app for Android. Rhyming words drop onto the beat right before you need them, so you learn to keep going instead of running dry mid-bar. This page says who makes it, where the beats and the rhymes come from, and how the free tools on this site are tested.
Who makes it
Rhymeable is built and run by one independent developer. It is operated by ÖNDER YAZICI, a sole proprietorship registered in Türkiye. There is no investor and no agency behind it. The app is free to download; it is paid for by ads and an optional PRO upgrade, and in Russia, where Google Play cannot take payments, PRO is free.
Where the beats come from
The app ships with 102 beats. 66 are in the public domain (CC0) on the Internet Archive: 65 by mindcrack outcorporated, 1 by Cely Grande. 36 are by Adi Rambo under Creative Commons Attribution 3.0. Every beat, its tempo and its licence are listed in beats by BPM.
Where the rhymes come from
The rhyme lists were put together by hand for rapping out loud: short, common words that land on a beat, not a dictionary dump and not copied from one. There are 550 rhyme families with 3,469 different words: English 132, Spanish 110, Russian 110, Turkish 88 and Polish 110. The word generator uses separate lists: 150 easy, 150 medium and 150 hard words plus 140 battle topics in each language.
How the tools are tested
- BPM detection reads the MP3's
global_gainfield instead of decoding the audio. On the 102 catalogue beats it gets the exact tempo 64.7% of the time and the right one up to an octave 86.3%; on 40 other Creative Commons beats it was never tuned on, 65% and 92.5%. The method and every number are in the engineering write-up, and the code is open source as mp3-tempo on npm (MIT). - The rhyme scheme analyzer and the poem checker use the CMU Pronouncing Dictionary (about 40,000 English words). Words outside it are flagged, not guessed.
- Every tool page has a section on what it cannot do.
What Rhymeable does not do
It does not grade your rap with AI, and it never uploads your recordings: they stay on your phone unless you share one yourself. The web tools need no account and send no audio anywhere.
